(w/ fadeout)

¶The ideas behind the term centonate (as described on the front page) are probably most fully realized in this title track. The main motives from Beethoven's fifth symphony, Pink Floyd's The Wall, and John Corigliano's String Quartet are used; separately at first, and then in a patchwork melody. Heavy, distorted beats run throughout the work, which is dominated by dark textures and timbres.

¢-0n8 (w/ fadeout) uses the 2 303s in ReBirth as well as the 808 and 909 with the Macroserv 1.0 Mod. Everything except the final fadeout was recorded live with the pattern-based sequencer, no overdubbing or additional effects were used.
